My name is Cammie Sink. I’m a whitewater rafter. No foolin’!
I’ve been Dr Runion’s Office Manager since 2001. Now I run his Insurance Billing &
Financial Services Department from my home on San Juan Island. Yes, my name is Sink
and I live on an island. No Foolin’!
If you have questions about your insurance
or billing, you can reach me directly by calling (toll free) (877)
366-9153.
My sweet, charming, lovable husband,
Charlie, is to blame for the last name.
I have a SINKing feeling that I’m stuck
with it. We have a small piece of
property outside Friday Harbor where we both work from home. He’s a toy designer/inventor, who
specializes in making things fly… like the 10-foot flying pteranadon that he designed for the movie War Games a
‘few’ years back.
Our daughter, Marieke,
is the best kid on the planet.
She’s nine years old and REALLY into hamsters right now. We recently adopted 12 baby Indian
Runner ducklings. They look like
bowling pins with feet and REALLY love eating slugs. Ewe!
My 15-pound cat, Fat Jack, loves scowling at them from the kitchen
window. He’s lost 3 pounds since
moving to the Island. The scowling
can be directly attributed to his new DIE-et… and the fact that Runner
Ducks should qualify as “fast food”.
In my ‘spare’ time, I help to run a summer
camp for the Washington State Youth Conservation Camps (WSYCC) at Moran
State Park on Orcas Island. I’ve
was a camper there in 1979 and have been an instructor ever since. Currently I teach archery. No one’s been shot yet, so we must be
doing something right! I’m also a
volunteer for Washington State Parks, and I direct a non-profit group
that I founded called the Friends Of Camp Moran ELC. We volunteer MANY hours of community
service to the Moran group camp annually.
If you’re interested in joining us for our next Spring Work Party,
let me know! You can e-mail me at Cammie@brushnfloss.com for more
information.
